Distance runner Corey Zlatniski of the Utica College track & field team was named Utica College’s Male Athlete of the Week after his record setting performance this past weekend at the New York State Collegiate Track Conference Championships.

Zlantniski captured first place in the 800 meter run this past weekend with a new school-record of 1:55.72. His win collected ten of the team’s 57 points on the weekend which earned them seventh place.

UC is back in action this weekend as it travels to the New Balance Track and Field Center at the Armory in New York, NY for the 2015 ECAC Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. The Championships are scheduled to kick off Friday and end Saturday.
