UTICA, NY – Utica College senior kicker Thomas Woodburn has been named the college’s Co-Male Athlete of the Week for his performance against Brockport on Saturday.
 
Woodburn kicked a career high five field goals and one extra point for a school-record breaking 16 points for a kicker on Saturday. He kicked the game winning 35-yard field goal in overtime against Brockport to give the team its first road win of the season. Woodburn now has a school-record 206 points and is the first player to get more than 200 points in a career.
 
Woodburn is ranked first in the conference and first in the nation in field goals per game (2.7). He is second in the conference and 13th in the nation in field goal percentage (.917).
 
The Pioneers improved to 4-2 overall with a 3-1 Empire 8 Conference record. The team will be on the road Saturday to take on Empire 8 rival St. John Fisher. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
