Utica, NY – Kwasi Addo of the Utica College football team has been named the UC Male Athlete of the Week for his play over the weekend.
 
In the team’s game against Morrisville State College on Saturday, Addo led all defensive players with 20 tackles including two tackles for loss. This is the first time since 2004 that a Pioneer has recorded 20 tackles in a game, and ties the third highest single game tackles total in the record books.
 
Addo is now the leading tackler on the Utica defense with 49 on the season and is now sixth in the Empire 8 in total tackles.
 
The Pioneers are back home this Saturday to host Alfred University, as they look to push their 3-3 record above the .500 mark. This conference matchup is scheduled to kick-off at 2 p.m.
