Utica, NY – Keanu Heedram of the Utica College men’s track and field team has been chosen as the UC Co-Male Athlete of the Week for his strong outing at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend.
 
Heedram was recognized as an All-American for the first time in his career, coming in third place in the shot put event. His first throw of the day proved to be his best as he won the first flight with a toss of 17.50 meters. This distance held strong throughout the competition, securing his third place finish and All-American honors.
 
The Pioneers posted 12 team points and placed 15^thoverall in the team competition, marking the best finish among all Empire 8 Conference and Atlantic Region teams.
