Jazmene Molina has been selected as Pioneer Athlete of the Week for the week of February 24th, 2025.

Molina had a historic outing for the Pioneer women’s wrestling program at the NCWWC Region 1 Championships this past weekend. The graceful grappler produced a second place finish in the 124lb bracket, felling nearly all her foes on the way to a podium placement. Molina defeated two solid opponents to reach the 124lb finals, securing a top-2 finish and also becoming the program’s first ever wrestler to advance to the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships. Molina will head to the Xtreme Arena in Coralville, Iowa to compete for the National Championship on March 7th and 8th.
