Sophomore thrower Bria Hilliard of the women’s track and field team was named the College’s female athlete of the week after her record setting performance Saturday at Hamilton College.

Hilliard, who held the school record for the women’s weight throw (12.89m) going into the meet, had competition as classmate Alexis Edwards threw for 12.94 meters. Hilliard then regained her status as UC’s women’s weight throw leader with a toss of 13.29 meters. She finished the meet at Hamilton College in 7th place in the weight throw.

The Pioneers return to action Saturday at 10 a.m. as they travel to Hanover, NH for the Dartmouth classic.
