UTICA, NY- Utica College baseball player Ryan Watson was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week, Monday, after contributing to both wins this past Saturday.
In game one Watson had the game-winning RBI in walk-off fashion as he hit a single up the middle to score teammate Adam Pexton. In game two, Watson got the win on the mound after throwing 5.2 innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) and striking out five.
The senior is currently 3-1 on the season, with a 1.67 ERA, and a .300 batting average. The Pioneers (17-11) will play four home games in the next five days beginning with this evening’s contest against Houghton. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
