UTICA, NY –Freshman Dominic Castiglia of the men’s lacrosse team was named the Utica College Male Athlete of the Week after his performance in last week’s games.
 
Castiglia had five points off of three goals and two assists against Hamilton and SUNY Potsdam last week. His two goals in the Hamilton game led the team while his three points off of one goal and two assists against SUNY Potsdam was good enough for second on the team.
 
He is currently tied for first on the team with six points off of a team high four goals and two assists.
 
The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday for their season home opener against SUNY Poly. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
