Utica women’s cross country standout Kaitlyn Stinson was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Stinson nearly broke the course record as she posted a time of 23:00.7 and cruised to a first place finish, 14 seconds ahead of the second place finisher from Clarkson University on Saturday at the fifth annual SUNY Poly Wildcat Weekend Classic (6K).

As a team the Pioneers finished second overall. Stinson has placed in the top six of all three races she has entered this season. 

The Pioneers were ranked No. 8 in the Atlantic Region last week and have two second place finishes and one first place trophy this season.
