Ashley Kaufman was a two-time Empire 8 Women’s Soccer All-Conference First Team selection. Following her senior campaign she was named the College’s Dick Miller Award winner as the most outstanding female student-athlete.

In four seasons the three-sport athlete posted a school-record 18 shut outs on the pitch and compiled a 31-23-3 overall record for the women’s soccer team. She holds the school-record with 296 saves and she posted an incredible 1.01 career goals against average. She led the Pioneers to two straight Empire 8 Conference Tournament appearances (2006 & 2007), including a conference championship game appearance in 2006. In 2006 she helped the Pioneers earn a second place finish in the ECAC Upstate Championships. She helped Utica to double-digit victories in two straight seasons (2005 & 2006).

She posted exactly 100 saves and tallied two shut outs in net for the Pioneers in 2007. As a junior she was also named to the NYSWCAA All-State Team. She was an Empire 8 Women’s Soccer All-Conference honorable mention in her sophomore campaign.

Women’s Hockey
In four seasons on the women’s hockey team (2004-2008) she played in 91 games and totaled 35 points from the defensive end. In her four years the UC women’s hockey team won 67 games, including three-straight 18 win seasons in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. She helped guide the Pioneers to four consecutive ECAC Women’s West Conference Tournament appearances, including an appearance in the program’s only ECAC Women’s West Conference Championship game in 2005-06.

Softball
In one season with the UC softball team she played in 32 games, batted a team-best .394, drove in 25 runs, scored 24 runs, and stole a team-best eight bases. Her 11 doubles were tops on the team and rank third on the College’s single season list. Midway through the season she posted a 15 game  hitting-streak and she registered 13 multi-hit contests. She led the team in both hits (43) and at-bats (109). She helped guide the Pioneers to 15 victories and an appearance in the Empire 8 Conference Softball Tournament.
