Louise Steele-Norton enjoyed a decorated field hockey career as a NFHCA All-American First Team recipient, North Atlantic Region Player of the Year, and Empire 8 Player of the Year following her 2012 season. She is also a three
 time All-Region and four-time Empire 8 All-Conference First Team selection. 
 
Steele-Norton sits amongst the Utica career record holders in several categories after a historic career. She holds second place in many categories including points (165), goals (76), points per game (2.06), game winning goals (16) and second most points in a single season with 56 in 2012. 
 
She was an integral part of the program’s three Empire 8 Championships spanning from 2012-2014. Across her seven games played in the conference tournament, she recorded five goals and scored in each of the team’s three championship games. Her strong playoff contributions extended into NCAA Tournament play where she scored six goals and provided two assists across five games played. Steele-Norton’s contributions led the program to their two and only NCAA Tournament wins, with her biggest impact coming in 2012 when she scored two goals and added an assist in the team’s 4-1 first round victory over Endicott. 
 
Her sophomore season in 2012 remains one of the most spectacular seasons in program history. With 27 goals on the year, Steele-Norton led the Empire 8 and also ranked seventh across the nation. Amidst this historic season, she led the team to their first Empire 8 Championship and NCAA Tournament victory. It remains the second highest point total in a single season in the Utica record books.
 
With a cumulative record of 61-22 during her four seasons at Utica, Steele-Norton is a part of the winningest stretch in program history. The team saw its record improve every season she was there, rising from 11 wins in 2011 to a program record 18 wins her senior year in 2014. 
 
Steele-Norton was also a member of the women’s hockey team during her time at Utica. 
She appeared in 90 games across four seasons, where she scored a total of 19 goals and provided 35 assists. 
 
A key contributor to the team, she found herself amongst the team’s top scorers in three seasons. Her freshman year she recorded 12 points, ranking fifth highest on the team. She totaled 16 points her sophomore year, third amongst Utica players and was second in points her senior year, totaling 19. 
 
Her winning resume extended to her hockey career as well, going 54-41-11 during her time with the team. She helped the team appear in three ECAC Tournaments where they would win their first round matchup each year. Across the team’s three tournament wins during her tenure, she totaled four points with her best performance coming in the team’s first round victory over Potsdam in 2013 where she scored two goals. 
 
In addition to her field and ice hockey career at Utica, she was a three–sport athlete for two seasons at Utica, playing on the lacrosse team her sophomore and junior year in 2013 and 2014. Across her two seasons on the team, she accumulated 35 total points coming from 29 goals and six assists. 
 
Her top season with the team came in 2013 where totaled 26 points with 21 goals and five assists in only 12 games played. She finished that season tied for third on the team in goals and fourth in points. 
 
A native of Avondale, PA, she earned a degree in Psychology Child Life.
