Cross Country

2015: Competed in five meets in his senior year for the cross country team … At the Williams College Purple Valley Classic he ran a time of 19:42.4 in the 5K race (9/26/15) … He ran a time of 23:50.7 in the 6K race at the Saratoga Invitational (9/12/15) … He finished the 8K at the Empire 8 Championships with a time of 30:57.1 (10/31/15).

2014: Ortiz began his sophomore season placing 44^th at the SUNYIT Short Course Invitational (8/30/14) with a time of 22:24… Placed 19^th at the Steven Warde Invitational (9/6/14) with a time of 33:24.2… Ran a season best time of 29:39.5 at the 36^th Annual Geneseo Cross Country Invitational where he placed 224^th… Came in 71^st place at the Empire 8 Championships (11/1/14) with a time of 30:11.5… Finished his sophomore season at the ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships (11/8/14) placing 231^st with a time of 30:08.12

2013: Ortiz tied for 28^th at his first college race at the 7^th Annual Wildcat Invitational (8/31/13) finishing with a time of 21:10, the team placed second at the meet… Placed 12^th at the Steven Warde Invitational (9/7/13) finishing with a time of 29:42.0, the team placed first at the meet…  Finished 64^th at the 35^th Annual Geneseo Cross Country Invitational (10/5/13), clocking in with a time of 27:25.9 … Tied for 44^th at the NYSCTC Cross Country Championships (10/26/13), finishing with a 28:38.5 … Tied for 28^th place at the Empire 8 Cross Country Championships (11/2/13) clocking a time of 28:00.2, as a team, the Pioneers placed second.  

Track & Field

2016: Competed at six meets over the course of the indoor season for the Pioneers … His only recorded 3000M during the season was a time of 10:32.94 at the Utica College Clark Invitational (1/16/16) … He ran his personal best 5000M at the Utica College Doris Miga Invitational with a time of 18:01.64 (2/6/16) … He also was a part of the 4X8 team at the Utica College Jen & Todd Hutton Invitational that finished in third place at the meet with a time of 9:12.86 (12/12/15).
 
During the outdoor season he competed in five meets for the team … He finished his best 5000M time of the spring with a time of 18:36.81 at the Hamilton College Continental Invitational (3/26/16) … He ran a personal record time of 38:46.80 in the 10,000M at the Alvernia Crusader Invitational (4/2/16).

Personal: Jason is a 2013 graduate of Alexander Hamilton High School and is the son of Santa Campos and German Ortiz... He is cuurently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.
